How to print these puzzle PDFs
- Print at 100%, not "Fit to page"
- The PDFs are US Letter — 612 × 792 pt, or 8.5 × 11 in — with 0.75 in margins already built in. Scaling them again shrinks the grid and wastes the margin.
- On A4, choose "Fit to printable area"
- A4 is 595.28 pt wide against Letter's 612, so the grid comes out about 3% smaller and stays perfectly square. Nothing is cropped.
- Grayscale is fine
- Every page is pure black on white. There is no colour anywhere in these files, so a monochrome printer loses nothing.
- The answer key sits at the back
- Puzzles come first, one per page, and the solutions follow at the end. Print only the puzzle pages if you would rather not have the answers sitting in the same pile.
- Print single-sided if people will write on them
- Duplex halves your paper, but pen and pencil show through on thin stock and the grid on the reverse gets hard to read.
Concretely: the easy pack runs to 56 pages — puzzles on pages 1–50, answer key on 51–56. Print 1–50 to keep the solutions out of the pile.
